2012 and ready to fly

Well, at least that’s how I feel when I think about all the wonderful surprises I got as I entered 2012. I thought I would write a mega speech, however, I am always pressed… for time that is; that I was beginning to fear I would never get round to it.

On 1 January 2012, I got included in a list of 101 wonderful women bloggers for 2012 over at Birds on the Blog. I was astonished as I had not put myself up there, somebody else did. For this I would like to thank Ida Horner of Ethnicsupplies. This is a very special lady who I randomly met on twitter in September 2010. By October 2010, I met her in person and heard about all the wonderful things she was doing to help East African women work their way out of poverty. She’s betting on me????????????

Just a couple of days later, I found that trixfred30 of Happiness Stan Lives Here thought my blog was so great he awarded me Versatile Blogger status. Still astonished because trixfred30 makes my cooking look like humble pie, he pumps out food posts galore. Sorry ladies, he is taken, but please visit his blog to see his wonderful creations and his amazing food photography. Thanks trixfred30!

Here’s a brief on the Versatile Blogger rules….
