Birthday blueberries with lusciously delicious red velvet cake

Rainbow food series – Blue

Is blue a sad colour? It doesn’t have to be. The sky is blue when the sun is out. That means a lot in a bitterly cold, dull, wet and gloomy winter.

But on another note, blue food is very hard to find, except for blueberries; and blue may be a sad colour for some but I have a wonderful sister who made me smile with her amazing red velvet cake that I topped up with a bucketful of blueberries. It seems wrong to eat this during Lent, but it was made with love for my birthday. 🙂

Thank you Diettra! Do you have a recipe for red velvet cake? I have never made one myself… except for Betty Crocker’s pre-mixed one 😛
