I had an exciting summer in Balham this year. It seems the town centre is on point with making sure it keeps getting interesting. This year saw Hildreth Street Market and the Balham Town centre come to life with the introduction of the Balham Food Festival.

I just don’t know what it is about me and markets, but I just come alive every time I see the colours and variety of produce and items.

And the food did not disappoint. I sampled an Afro Caribbean stall run by Alta Ega restaurant. I had jerk chicken with some sort of spicy rice. It was just divine. A shame I did not take a pic. I look forward to checking out Alta Ega restaurant though. I may just do a blog on my experience there.
