We intended to do sardines, which is one of the things the Algarve is famous for. In fact, Portimao Museum is at the site of an old sardine canning factory.
However, Aljezur Market was fresh out of sardines that day, the next best thing was carapau.

We grilled on Manny’s barbecue, which Fran predicted he would insist on doing as he did not want us doing the fish in that awesome oven. It was just beautiful!
