Chef Fran’s recipes from the Portuguese Country Cooking School.
At Aljezur Market we came across this tender tomato looking fruit which was so soft and delicate. It was Sharon Fruit.
Fran decided to make a limey sweet fruit platter with it. All you will need is
2 Sharon fruit
Lime juice
Toasted almonds
Fresh mint
Gently peel the skin off the Sharon Fruit and cut into 1cm thick slices. Squeeze the juice of 1 lime over. Sprinkle with almonds and you’re done! Garnish with fresh sprig of mint from, you guessed it, Fran’s organic veggie and herb garden.
