One of the things I love about Portugal is that not every single thing is on a map, kind of like in many countries of Africa.
Whilst this may bother some people, I find it intriguing, as though I am embarking on an adventure like the amazing race! Oh the Algarvian countryside really looked like it could be somewhere in Africa, with the flamingos and savannah look a like grassland.
I really enjoyed finding my way to the farmhouse, which has a very rural feel. (They go by The New Forest Lodge, Horses in the Sun and Portuguese Cooking School… same people, same place). How to get there was rather interesting.
Once you have found your way onto the N120 from the A22, look out for this sign.
Next take the dirt road. They don’t make it easy for you with several forks, but it is all a part of the adventure.
You will pass a couple of wind turbines, a white hotel a couple of horses and you’re there with Frannie and David waiting to welcome you.
