This is a Zimbabwean favourite, greens with peanut butter. It is almost always served with sadza or polenta as known in many parts of Europe.
You will need
1 medium onion
1 clove garlic crushed
1 large tomato, chopped
chillies (scotch bonnet is only for the brave)
1 packet of greens of your choice (spring greens, cabbage, kale, spinach)
2 tbsp peanut butter
water
salt to taste
The video shows how to put it all together!

July 17, 2012 at 3:27 pmI used to live in Cameroon for 2 years. I had to get used to the food there, but I eventually started enjoying it. This recipe looks pretty simple and easy to do! I am always on the look out for new recipes.
I may try this with kale! Thanks for sharing.

July 17, 2012 at 7:22 pmHi Bernadette! Welcome to my blog and thanks so much for sommenting! 🙂 I think kale would be perfect for it, as it is so much more colourful. Other greens such as pumpkin leavesor cocoyam leaves are a treat too, where to find them out of Africa is another story though. You can even try throw in a few mushrooms and smoked fish if you like! Hmmmm… I know what recipe I am going to try next.
